Experimenting more with this Texture cut out thing. The simpler the better I find... this one might have been a little too complicated. Ugh. I'm still happy with it. It does look like I cut out everything and then doodled on them, which was the goal.

Pft. Who needs Vectoring, amirite?

Anywho this is an entry for the

Day of the Dead thing that cuts off in two days.

I don't know, Seems Keilah heard a party and went over, bringing left over/trick or treated candy to share.

It's not so hard as it looks, actually. It works best if you have a very simple picture, and do a different texture for each color.

First you need a sketch doodle of what you want it to look like, then you cut out the texture colors in the shape you want. I add shadows and highlights with the lasso tool, cutting out pieces that I want to have a different shade to emphasize depth.

I used these two tutorials to get me started, but my process is way different now.
